FAQ's About Pay Online
Access online account information (including multiple accounts):
If this is the first time you’ve used the site:
Go to the Pay Online web page. Then select "View/Pay Your Bill." Go to "If you have not registered before, then you will need to Register now" and click on "Register."
- Enter the account number you would like to view exactly as it appears on your paper bill.
- Enter a statement id from any of your paper bills (located on the back of your bill)
- Enter your email address.
- Click "Submit"
You will be sent an email to the email account you registered with.
- Open the email and click on the link to activate the registration.
- Enter your account number.
- Enter any password you choose between 4-10 characters. Your password is case sensitive.
- Confirm your password keeping in mind that it must match the previous password exactly.
- Enter your mother's maiden name (confirmation in case you forget your password at a later date)
- "Submit" - you should now be able to log in
*You will automatically be registered to view all accounts associated with your Blue Ridge membership. If you want to receive email notification when bill is available, please

***I've got a MAC and use Safari as my browser. Your pay online pages do not open correctly. What do I do?
It has come to our attention that there may be a problem with MAC/Safari and the secure application used for pay online. Our secure service recommends that you download Firefox, a free web browser that works well with our pay online application. Click here for your free download.
If you’ve used the site before:
To login:
- Enter your email address
- Enter your password
- Press “Login”
All account numbers associated with your email and password will appear for your review or payment.
To log off after your inquiry, click "Sign Off" at the top of the page or in the left column.
Change my email address or password:
- Enter your “old” email address
- Enter your password
- Press “Login”
Click on "Account Management" in the left hand column of the page.
- Enter the new email address and/or password information you wish to change
- Enter mother's maiden name as verification
- Click "Submit"
Changes are complete and confirmation will appear.
- Go to the "Login" page of Pay Online
- See the line below the New User option that says, "Forgot your password? Click here"
- Enter your email address
- Enter your mother's maiden name
- Click "Submit"
Your password will be emailed to you.

- Click on "Usage History" and select the account you want to review from the current account drop-down list.
- Click on "View Usage History Graph" and you will see graphs and data relating to previous months of usage. These windows can be printed using the "Print" option in the right corner.
You may review any accounts associated with this email address and password. Use the "Current Account" drop down menu to see a list of these accounts. Choose "Sign Off" (found at the top of the page) to leave the site without paying.

Under the "Pay Account Selection" select "Pay Individual Account" or "Pay Multiple Accounts."
- If you slected "Pay Individual Account," select the account to pay. If you selected "Pay Multiple Accounts," you will be provided with a list of accounts. Enter the appropriate payment amount for each account and click "OK."
- Verify account number (if only paying for one account.)
- Enter payment method details (select credit card type or enter e-check information)
- Enter payment amount
- Complete all remaining fields and "Submit."

Know my payment was accepted and credited to my account:
After submitting your payment you should receive a confirmation receipt that includes a "Confirmation Code." Please print this receipt for your payment records.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you do not receive a confirmation receipt DO NOT re-submit. This may cause a double billing on your credit card or double debit on your checking account.
You can also see the status of this payment by clicking "Payment History" on the left.
Review your account information. If the paid amount has not been deducted from the “Current Amount” please contact your local Blue Ridge Electric office by telephone or email immediately. It is important that you make this contact as soon as possible so that your bill does not become delinquent and subject to disconnection.
