Lenoir, North Carolina (April 28, 2008) — Employees of Blue Ridge Electric Membership Corporation and Blue Ridge Energies, LLC, were recently recognized for their service during the company’s annual employee awards dinner and celebration at Broyhill Inn and Conference Center in Boone.
Recognized for their years of service from Caldwell County were: 35 years: Bill Elliott, Reliability Manager; 30 years: Doug Johnson; Chief Executive Officer; Mickey Pennell, Crew Leader; Horry Kent Jr., Crew Leader; 25 years: Hoss Prestwood, Construction Specialist; and Larry Wagoner, Crew Leader; 20 years: Brad Hoover, Maintenance Specialist; Nadine Rogers, Administrative Assistant; Rita Triplett, Consumer Accounting-Metering; Vickie Vines, Member Services Representative; Judy Bryant, Consumer Accounting-Capital Credits; and Brian Crutchfield, Director of Economic Development; 15 years: Anthony Ford, Line Technician A; 10 years: Dianne Derreberry, Accounting Associate; Shane Absher, Sales/Delivery; John Miller, Sales/Delivery; and Renee Whitener, Director of Public Relations; five years: Julie O’Dell-Michie, Vice President of Human Resources and Administration; Robert Prestwood, Field Service Technician; and Jessica Woodruff, Member Services Representative.
