Lenoir, North Carolina (October 25, 2004) – Employees of Blue Ridge Electric Membership Corporation and Blue Ridge Energies, LLC, were recently recognized for their service during the company’s annual employee awards dinner and celebration at Broyhill Inn and Conference Center in Boone.
Recognized for their years of service were: Cornelia Cornell, administrative assistant in the member and public relations group, 45 years; Dean Ford, crew leader in Caldwell District, 30 years; Mary Sue Boutwell, executive assistant to the chief executive officer, 25 years; Tommy Miller, lead substation technician; 25 years; Mary Teague, system operator in the distribution services group, 20 years; Kevin Clark, lead meter technician; 15 years; Lynne Isaacs, customer service center representative, 15 years; Ronnie Jewell, safety, training and environmental manager, 15 years; Susan Simmons, electronic communications manager, 15 years; Ralph Bryant, motor and heating fuels service technician for Blue Ridge Energies, 10 years; Glenda Christian, general manager of Blue Ridge Energies, 10 years; Jewell Thomas, CAD operator, 10 years; Jerry Brown, construction layout technician, five years; Brenda Bryant, senior consumer accounts auditor, five years; Chelo Copper, customer service center representative, five years; Bill Donaldson, test and maintenance technician, five years; Eric Helton, apprentice line technician, five years; Mark Holloway, communications systems technician, five years; Kelly Huffman, line technician, five years; and Grey Scheer, director of community relations, five years.
