Mike Kincaid Named Ashe Operations Manager

West Jefferson, North Carolina (October 8, 2009) – Continuing to ensure that members enjoy the most reliable electricity possible is the top priority for Blue Ridge Electric Membership Corporation. Recently promoted to lead the operations team in this effort is Mike Kincaid, who originally joined the cooperative in 1989.

Kincaid takes the helm as Ashe operations manager after the retirement Jack Goodman, who had been with Blue Ridge for a total of 31 years and had served as Ashe operations manager for the past nine years.

During Kincaid’s 20 years of experience with Blue Ridge Electric, he has worked as a line technician in overhead and underground construction. He was promoted to crew leader in the Watauga District in 2002. Prior to joining the Blue Ridge team, he worked with Pike Electric as a class A line technician.

Kincaid currently lives in Watauga County but will be relocating to Ashe County in the future.

“Mike’s high level of professionalism, his knowledge of the Blue Ridge system and his desire to deliver top level service will continue a tradition of benefitting our members with excellent reliability,” said Kincaid, who will supervise a team of 13 line technicians and nine other operations staff in the Ashe district office.

“I’m excited to be working with such a great group of people,” said Kincaid. “I look forward to continuing to provide outstanding service and the reliability that our Ashe members have come to expect.

Kincaid and his wife, Cindi, have four children: Erin, Addy, Kaitlin and Cody.
