Blue Ridge Electric Board Officers Elected

Lenoir, North Carolina (June 16, 2009) – The board of directors of Blue Ridge Electric Membership Corporation recently elected officers following the board’s regularly scheduled monthly meeting, which was held after the cooperative’s Annual Membership meeting Saturday, June 13.
Re-elected to their current officer positions were: Kenneth Greene, Ashe District, president; Jeff Joines, Caldwell District, vice president; Joy Coffey, Watauga District, secretary-treasurer; and Charity Gambill-Gwyn, director-at-large, assistant secretary-treasurer.
Blue Ridge Electric is a member-owned cooperative serving some 73,000 members in Caldwell, Watauga, Ashe, Alleghany, Wilkes, Avery and Alexander counties. Its wholly owned subsidiary, Blue Ridge Energies, provides propane and other heating fuels to residential and commercial customers from offices in Conover, Lenoir, Boone, West Jefferson and Sparta.
