Lenoir, North Carolina, (April 20, 2009) - Johnna Triplett recently received top honors from Blue Ridge Electric Membership Corporation during the company's annual employee service awards dinner held at the Broyhill Inn and Conference Center.
Triplett is a customer service associate for Blue Ridge Energies, a subsidiary of Blue Ridge Electric offering propane, heating fuels, hearth products, and gas appliances. She was awarded the Touchstone Overall Excellence Award which recognizes employees who demonstrate qualities such as exceptional and innovative customer service, operational expertise, building team spirit, and honesty and integrity.
Each year, employees of Blue Ridge Electric and its heating fuels subsidiary, Blue Ridge Energies, nominate and select outstanding employees to receive the company's top awards recognizing qualities such as inspiring customer service, motivational team spirit, operational excellence, and generosity to the community.
In presenting her award, Chief Executive Officer Doug Johnson said Triplett was very highly recommended for the award and has been recognized as a top performer for Blue Ridge Energies and the customers she serves.
Co-workers said Triplett is a "go to" person, doing whatever is asked and more. They note her sincerity, kindness and strong work ethic as reasons she was nominated. Additionally, she strives to exceed the customer's expectations and exemplifies the values and philosophy on which Blue Ridge is founded. Fellow employees say customers often comment on their delight in being served by Triplett although they also note that she goes quietly about her job, never expecting praise or recognition. Co-workers say Triplett's commitment is contagious, as she often goes out of her way to find solutions and options for customers. They also commended Triplett for her qualities that have made her a part of the Blue Ridge team from her very first day on the job. One co-worker noted that "the world would be a much better place if everyone could display the same attitude and spirit as Johnna."
