Boone, North Carolina (May 12, 2007) – Employees from Blue Ridge Electric Membership Corporation and Blue Ridge Energies, LLC, were honored for their service during the company’s annual employee awards dinner recently held at the Helen Powers Grand Hall at the Broyhill Inn and Conference Center in Boone.
Recognized from the Watauga office of Blue Ridge Electric were: 45 years: Harold Huffman, Watauga district operations manager; 30 years: Linda Cox, retired member services representative; 20 years: Scott Eggers, High Country director of heating and fuels; Steve Woodring, construction layout technician; Kent Landholm, GPS/pole attachment coordinator; Reba Matthewson, credit coordinator; 15 years: Ronnie Garland, field service technician; Ernie Moretz, line technician A; Randy Taylor, crew leader; Will Townsend, crew leader; 10 years: Brad Shields, director of information technology; and five years: James Bledsoe, meter technician; Tim Councill, line technician B; Tony Cox, field service technician; Donna Lambert, member services representative; and Eddie Stephens, line technician B.
