Lenoir, North Carolina (November 23, 2005) – Employees from Blue Ridge Electric Membership Corporation and Blue Ridge Energies, LLC, were honored for their service during the company’s annual employee awards dinner and celebration recently held at the Helen Powers Grand Hall at the Broyhill Inn and Conference Center in Boone.
Recognized for their years of service were: Gary Herman, construction specialist in the electric services group, 30 years; Sandra Hicks, Caldwell District manager and call center manager, 30 years; Michael Lowe, communication/ fiber optics manager in the finance and information technology group, 25 years; Steve Peterson, construction manager in the electric services group; 25 years; Tony Absher, Caldwell District vehicle mechanic, 20 years; Regina Bolick, Caldwell district operations coordinator, 20 years; Karen Ford, administrative assistant in the electric services group, 15 years; Geri Styers, general accountant I in the finance and information technology group, 15 years; Bill Covington, network engineer in the finance and information technology group, five years; Chad Gilbert, Caldwell district apprentice line technician, five years; Rita Simmons, customer service center representative in the electric services group, five years; Keith Smith, Caldwell district warehouse specialist, five years; Todd Smith, sales and delivery in the Foothills Energies operation, five years; Wongalee Thomas, Caldwell district customer accounts representative, five years; Cynthia Williams, customer service center representative in the electric services group, five years; and Shelia Williams, Foothills heating fuels manager, five years.
