Raleigh, North Carolina (July 22, 2004) – Vice President Kenneth R. Greene of West Jefferson has been recently cited for his 15 years of service to Blue Ridge Electric Membership Corporation.
The commendable service award was presented at the North Carolina Association of Electric Cooperatives (NCAEC) annual meeting held recently in Raleigh. NCAEC is the trade association for the 27 electric cooperatives in North Carolina, including Blue Ridge Electric. The cooperatives provide reliable, safe and affordable electric service to more than 850,000 homes, farms and businesses in North Carolina. The co-ops are member-owned, not-for-profit and overseen by a board of directors elected by the membership.
Greene has served on Blue Ridge Electric’s board since 1988. He is partner in Builder’s Mart of Jefferson.
