Blue Ridge Recognizes Employees

Boone, North Carolina (October 14, 2003) – A group of 42 employees from Blue Ridge Electric Membership Corporation and Blue Ridge Energies, LLC, were recognized for their service during the company’s annual employee awards dinner and celebration at Broyhill Inn and Conference Center in Boone.
Eight of the employees honored are from Watauga County. They include: Phyllis Grimes, customer accounts representative, recognized for 25 years; Ben Hurley, crew leader, 25 years; Kenny Teague, vehicle mechanic, 25 years; Richard Butler, line technician, 15 years; Brian Crutchfield, director of economic development, 15 years; Lindsay Kiser, system operator, 15 years; Doug Love, crew leader, 10 years; and Wayne Reese, line technician, five years.
