Blue Ridge Recognizes Ashe District Employees

West Jefferson, North Carolina (January 16, 2003) — A group of 33 employees from Blue Ridge Electric Membership Corporation and its subsidiary, Blue Ridge Energies, were recognized for their service during the company’s annual employee awards dinner at Broyhill Inn and Conference Center in Boone.
Of the 33 recipients, four are employees of the cooperative’s West Jefferson district office. They include: Kay Sexton, consumer accounts representative, 15 years; Terry Barnes, line technician A, 10 years; Tom Mash, crew leader, 10 years; and Dale Walton, warehouse assistant/field service technician, 10 years.
One employee recognized for service is with Blue Ridge Energies in Ashe County: Dale Mullis, heating oil sales and delivery, 5 years.
Blue Ridge Electric is a not-for-profit electric cooperative serving over 64,000 consumer-members in northwest North Carolina. Its subsidiary, Blue Ridge Energies, is a propane, heating fuels, and commercial gasoline provider with offices in Lenoir, Boone, and West Jefferson, Sparta, and Hickory.
