BOONE, N.C., (September 19, 2002) – Blue Ridge Electric Membership Corporation has issued an alert for members needing to come into the Watauga district office located at 2491 US Hwy. 421 South.
Members needing to visit the office should take extra caution in their vehicles due to heavy construction taking place to upgrade Hwy. 421 near the Blue Ridge Electric office. Slower travel speeds and paying extra attention to large equipment and construction debris is advised. Members should also be aware entrances and roads may be rerouted.
The cooperative is preparing to display special markers identifying the current re-routed entrance to the Blue Ridge Electric office.
Unless a personal visit is necessary, the cooperative suggests the following alternatives to members needing to contact the cooperative with inquiries, to pay their bill, or for other reasons:
