Lenoir, North Carolina (May 6, 2002) – Lee Chase, Chief Financial Officer for Blue Ridge Electric Membership Corporation and Blue Ridge Energies, was recently awarded the first Vocational Excellence award ever given by the Rotary Club of Lenoir.

The Vocational Excellence award is created to recognize professionals who demonstrate distinction in business ethics and professionalism.

Chase, who is a certified public accountant and received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Northwest Louisiana State University, lives in Lenoir with his wife, Nora.

Rotary is a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.
