Blue Ridge Electric Holds Meet the Candidate Forums

Lenoir, North Carolina (May 31, 2000) - Members of Blue Ridge Electric Membership Corporation are invited to meet the candidates for the cooperative's board of directors during a "Meet the Candidates" forum at the corporate office training room on Monday, June 5, at 7 p.m.
Meet the Candidates forums are held in each district and are designed to give members an opportunity to get to know their board candidates and ask any questions they may have prior to the Annual Membership Meeting on Saturday, June 10, when the directors will be elected.
One director from each of the cooperative's four districts will be elected. Nominees are: Oren Teague, Caldwell district; Joy Coffey, Watauga district; Charity Gambill, director-at-large; and Kenneth Greene, Ashe district.
Cooperative members are encouraged to attend for an opportunity to learn more about their board of directors and for an opportunity to participate in their cooperative.
