Previous Grant Recipients
The total amount approved for the projects listed above is $31,400 bringing Blue Ridge Electric's 2007 Member Foundation grant total to $61,400. These grants were awarded to 17 organizations in the Blue Ridge Electric service area.
The Foundation Advisory Committee, which is made of three Member Advisory Committee (MAC) members from each district, is committed to fund projects that will significantly benefit their fellow Blue Ridge members.
Due to the success of the Operation Round Up program, Blue Ridge Electric is planning two grant cycles in 2008 totaling $100,000 in grant dollars. This is in addition to providing more assistance to members in need with winter heating bills, emergency fuel assistance and weatherization.
If any of you have any questions, or if you get questions from members, contact Patty Wheeler, foundation manager.
