BRE Members Foundation FAQ
What is the selection process?
Applications must be submitted by the deadline and complete. Incomplete applications will not be considered and will not be returned. Applications are reviewed by members of the Foundation Advisory Committee (FAC) which is made up of representatives from all Blue Ridge Electric Member Advisory Committees. The FAC makes funding recommendations to the Blue Ridge Electric board of directors for final approval. This process assures members are the best stewards of the members’ money. Employees of Blue Ridge Electric are not involved in the approval process.
How does an organization apply for a grant?
Applications should be submitted to Kim Webb, Administrative Assistant, at Blue Ridge Electric, PO Box 112, Lenoir, NC 28645. If you have any questions during the application process please contact Kim Webb at 828-758-2383 ext. 3207 or kwebb@blueridgeemc.com. Cover letters accompanying the application are required. Cover letters allow the applicant additional opportunity to define their project or program needs but should only be used to enhance the application, not replace any part of the application.
